Atec 321 Faeta Model 2010

The new and modernized version of popular Atec 321 Faeta aircraft was performed on Aero Friedrichshafen 2010. All construction details which are well-proven during a long time of company production experience were retained. The new Atec 321 Faeta model completes or improves aspects which lead to innovation of flight characteristics and higher level of pilot´s comfort.

The most significant aircraft´s modifications in brief:

1) Side windows
Behind the cabine, a small plexiglass window is installed on each side of fuselage. These create a new general look having regard to actual UL design trends. Due to this, an interier is much more open to the light and better backside angle of visibility out of cabin. The colour version of windows, same as canopy glass color, can be delivered at three different optional hues - green, brown and colourless. If safety system is installed inside the aircraft, the right window is attached with screws as to enable parachute rocket to go directly through it. In this case, there are no serious dammages on composite airframe of the aircraft.

2) Luggage compartment
In connection with small windows installation, the luggage compartment modification was needed so. The bottom floor behind the seats was replaced up, so it became more accessible. Its dimension stays the same in compliance with maximum loading limits. The compartment space is equipped with small fixtures to attach covering net fixing luggages to avoid its moving during the flight.

3) Canopy closing mechanism
The basic principle of closing mechanism stays the same, but the detail of canopy safety lock was changed. The former safety rods went through the ordinary holes, which caused its hard manipulation. This problem was only eliminated after several months of using. Actually we install bearings to unable easier and fluent rods movement.

4) Facelift - new engine cowling
The engine cowling modification went to design harmonization with a fuselage line in the area of engine firewall, so that aerodynamical qualities of the aircraft are more highlighted now.

5) Heating system improvement
The modification of engine cowling bottom part shape enables an installation of new formed heating deflector serving as an inlet of hot air, supplied from water cooler. Hot air goes passing among the exhaust system to distribution valve, which enables exact temperature regulation. The valve is mounted on engine firewall and hot air gets into the cabine from there. A part of hot air can be also distributed over the dashboard with a small ventilator, which avoids possible canopy fogging.
