Next aerotow tests (ASH-25M)

On the 25th May, 2011 we have been performing next glider towing tests at the airport in Mnichovo Hradiště with the participation of Mr. Zdeněk Doubek, the LAA chief inspector. Mr. Jiří Bastl kindly provided us with his ASH-25M glider for testing higher weight aerotow. The weight of this top glider version with its auxiliary engine is 590g. We have been performing 6 aerotows with the crew, so we reached 790 kg of towing weight.

The test results were very good and we succeed in. The average rate of climb was 1,75 m/s and we reached 17 m of altitude after the distance of 600 m from start-up.
