Atec 212 Solo
is a single-seater, cantilever low-winged all composite aircraft. High volume of carbon together with honeycomp sandwich reinforcements provide a very low weight and high strength and rigidity. It’s design is derived from well-proven types ZEPHYR 2000 and especially ATEC 321 FAETA from which the shortened wing of SM 701 profile with high-efficient slotted flaps is used.

Spaciouse monococque fuselage is made of carbon somposite, reinforced with carbon bars and honeycomb sandwich bulkheads. On the front fireproof bulkhead the ROTAX 582 DCDI engine of 65 HP is mounted. Alternatively the four stroke ROTAX 912 UL 80 HP engine can be installed. The integral 50 litre fuel tank is placed in the cockpit under the pilot’s legs. The dashboard is equipped with a complete set of standard flight and engine control instruments. Upholstered pilot seat is made of PU foam ergonomically shaped.

The tail unit of a classic arrangement is is an integral part of the fuselage. The rigid construction of carbon sandwich with NOMEX honeycomb. The elevator is controlled by push-rods and can be electrically trimmed. The rudder is controlled by steel wire ropes.

The trapezoidal wings are fixed together via rigid central part of CrMo steel. Ailerons and flaps are controlled by push-rods. The flaps are electrically actuated from neutral to three deflected positions.

The landing gear is a fix two-wheeled construction with a steerable tail wheel. The main gear is cobstructed as a pair of leaf composite springs. The main wheels 350 x 120 mm are equipped with disc brakes and aerodynamic fairing.

ATEC 212 SOLO with its performance, manoeuvrability and strength exceeds design standarts of its microlight category.
